VP drug discovery

Requirements

● PhD in molecular biology / biochemistry / pharmacology / immunology or a related field

● 10+ years industry hands-on experience in preclinical development

● 5+ years experience managing preclinical R&D efforts in a start-up environment, from hit identification to IND submission

● Solid understanding of the drug development process (regulation, manufacturing, formulation, medchem etc.)

● Scientific track record with peer-reviewed publications as first author

● PI-like person (sees the big picture but can also dive into technical issues)

● Results oriented

● Advantage: experience with peptides

Responsibilities

● Communication of scientific ideas verbally, in writing and visually - internally and externally

● Work with the management team to build R&D plans, coordinate work with the business development effort

● Execute plan managing the biology team

● Manage scientific collaboration with partners (pharma, academia)

● Manage communication with CROs
